Trauma Counselling
If you've experienced trauma, it's important to seek help from a qualified therapist. I have many years of experience of working with clients with trauma, which includes domestic abuse and sexual violence. You are not alone, and gently, together, we will work together to bring you to a place in your life where you can manage your trauma and its impact on you.
Depression Therapy
Depression can make it difficult to enjoy life and engage in activities you once loved. It is possible to overcome depression and develop a more positive outlook on life and I offer evidence-based treatments that have been proven to be effective for depression.
Neurodivergence support
I have experience of creating an empathic space where neurodivergent individuals or spouses of, can feel heard and validated whilst acknowledging the unique challenges they may face. I can help spouses of neurodivergent individuals build resilience, maintain their well-being, and strengthen their relationships, while also celebrating the strengths and contributions of their neurodivergent partners.
Relationship Counselling
Relationships are an important part of our lives, but they can also be challenging. I am here to help you improve communication and strengthen your relationships through examination of your own relational patterns and how these play out with your friends and family today. (Please note I do not provide couples counselling but work with you as an individual to understand yourself and your relationships).

Stress is a natural part of life, but when it becomes overwhelming, it can have a negative impact on our mental and physical health. Together we can discover tailored practical strategies to manage stress and improve your overall well-being.
How do I work?
I have a dedicated, private therapy room at Tower Court, Oakdale Road, York. I offer face to face counselling and online appointments.
The centre is fully accessible to wheelchair users and there are toilet facilities onsite for your use. It is accessed easily from the A1237 ring road (North East of York). There is plenty of parking available at the site and parking is free whilst you are in session with me. The site is also serviced by the local bus routes.

I hold a postgraduate degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy alongside an honours degree in Forensic Psychology, a diploma (Higher Education) in Humanities and certificates in Self-harm and Suicide prevention, and Neurodivergence awareness.
Further back I have honours degrees in History and Agriculture with Animal Science.
